I drove here just for the Hot Ham and Cheese because nothing else in the city compares. This is a must visit dive for so so so many reasons. Good bar food, charming staff and pull tabs. It’s a small town bar in the middle of the city. ❤️

Wednesday afternoon 2-2-2022 masks required. Stopped by for a couple of long necks. $3.50 for a Bud Light. Not to bad. Not much action today. There were two fellows making 🎼 love to their tonic and gin 🎼 A really neat old bar. Believe it or not, they serve White Castle sliders every Sunday. FOR FREE!! No tux needed for this place, just jeans and some sort of top, Doesn’t matter. Cash only.

We are neighbors to this Bar, they’re generally friendly and very helpful to some of NE community as a local business. The bar crowd is however, mostly police or law enforcement adjacent. Some demographics looking for a dive bar pint and some chill might instead find themselves uncomfortable in the social spheres that frequent Jimmy’s. My visibly queer, POC, and trans loved ones get a lot of side eye or hateful muttering from the clientele (ofc I don’t go inside often because of this especially). The bartenders and owners are good people (towards me at least), as they’ve saved my dog when he escaped our fence before.

Ice cold Day Tripper for $5, AC cranked on hot days, and bartenders full of dirty old man jokes. I mean, what more do you want? A hot dog covered in cheese and salsa? Ok, they have that, too.
